A Soulful Road Trip to Shirdi in Our Brand New EV 🚗⚡

There’s something magical about combining a spiritual journey with a road trip—and when it’s with your closest friends, in your brand-new EV, it becomes unforgettable.

Recently, my husband and I and our dearest friends Hemant and Trupti Rao embarked on a two-day road trip to Shirdi. What made this trip extra special (apart from the divine darshan at the Sai Baba Temple) was the joy of travelling in our brand-new Tata Nexon EV. It was not just a car ride—it was an experience of luxury, comfort, and quiet joy.

Day One: The Journey Begins from Nagpur 🚘

We started our journey from Nagpur, full of excitement and playlists ready. On the way, we made a lunch stop at a local dhaba—not just for the food, but also to charge our EV. While our Nexon powered up, we relaxed under the shade, enjoyed a hearty meal, and dove into some meaningful, soul-refreshing conversations. It was one of those moments you don’t plan but cherish forever.

Driving on the Samruddhi Mahamarg felt like gliding on butter—the roads were silky smooth, and the EV made it even more enjoyable with its silent drive and effortless cruising. We charged the car just twice during the entire trip (once while going, and once while returning), and it never felt like a hassle. Honestly, it added more rhythm to our travel experience.

Why We Fell in Love With EV Travel 💚

Travelling in an electric car like the Nexon EV was a revelation. Here's why:

  • Whisper-quiet drive – No engine noise, just peace.

  • Instant torque and smooth acceleration – Makes highway cruising a breeze.

  • Eco-friendly – Feels good knowing you’re reducing your carbon footprint.

  • Cost-effective – Far more economical than a petrol/diesel road trip.

  • Tech-savvy features – The touchscreen, climate control, and real-time range updates made it super user-friendly.

  • Comfort redefined – Plush interiors, roomy cabin, and stable suspension.

Late Night Arrival in Shirdi 🌃

We reached Shirdi late at night and checked into our hotel. The staff was extremely generous, offering us a complete travel guide for the Sai Baba temple and nearby spots. After the long yet refreshing drive, we went straight to our rooms and had the most peaceful sleep, thanks to the calm of the journey and the warmth of good company.

Day Two: Divine Darshan and a Happy Heart 🕉️

We woke up early, fresh and energized, and made our way to the Shirdi Temple. The darshan was soul-stirring—the serenity, discipline, and sacred energy of the place left us awestruck. Everything was well-organized and deeply respectful of the spiritual experience.

Post-darshan, we treated ourselves to a delicious South Indian breakfast, which added just the right flavour to our morning. Back at the hotel, we took a short rest before packing up for our return journey.

Homeward Bound: Wrapped in Comfort ☁️

Our journey back home was smooth, cool, and cosy—just the way an EV promises. The entire trip reminded us that it’s not just the destination that matters, but the joy of the ride, the laughter of friends, and the quiet moments in between.

Final Thoughts

Our Shirdi trip wasn’t just about reaching a sacred place. It was about shared stories, silent roads, and a sustainable way of travel. If you’re planning a road trip anytime soon, we’d highly recommend trying it in an EV—you’ll be surprised at how it turns the journey into a retreat of its own.

Until the next adventure… 🌟
